A HAMPSHIRE country pub has released an exclusive menu for four-legged friends.

The Four Horseshoes, in Nursling, has just launched a menu for dogs with special burgers, roast dinners and more.

Thought to be one of the first pubs in the area to offer an extensive menu for dogs, the meals are served in silver bowls.

Prices start from £1.75 for a woof bar, paw scratchies and scampi fries, going up to £3.20 for bark burger and a bark banger. For hungry dogs, main meals are £5.50 each and include a roast dinner and fish and chips. To wash it all down there are also non-alcoholic dog cocktails on sale including a bark brew ‘beer’ and paw star ‘martini’ which is made from chicken and passion fruit.

Regular customer Sarah Filmore said: “We thought it would be fun to try one and Callie loved it. It’s a treat for good behaviour while we are enjoying our meal.”

General manager Adam Khalil said: “We have seen a lot of interest on social media and we know people love to treat their dogs, so we’ll be having to re-order more dishes very soon.

“The Four Horseshoes is well renowned for being a dog-friendly local pub so I’m not surprised it’s been a success. We also have a restaurant that is dog-free so we have the best of both worlds for customers!”

Because of the success, Romsey sister pub The Duke on The Test will also be offering this new addition.
