A bicycle shop has opened its new premises in Winchester city centre.

Chase Cycles relocated from in Waltham Chase in December 2023, moving into what was the old The News Shop, based in Winchester's Upper High Street in February.

Chase Cycles had been located in Waltham Chase for 25 years prior to the move, with owner Aaron Windebank, 36, taking over the business more than five years ago.

Aaron said that the shop had been busy since opening in Upper High Street with existing customers still using Chase Cycles, as well as new customers coming in and seeing the store in its new place.

Chase Cycles offers a range of bicycles, from traditional to electric for anyone from the ages of one or two, to irregular or regular cyclists as well as those looking to reduce costs by using an electric bicycle.

Aaron said: "It's been really nice since moving into our new premises. We've had a great range of people in, and it has been great to see our existing customers as well as lots of new faces which is great and really encouraging.

"We've had some great feedback since opening here and we hope to be here for the foreseeable future. We've got the inside the way we want it now, and are looking forward to getting the outside spruced up and looking good.

"If you are in the area, pop in and say hello!"

Aaron added that, as the weather gets better, he will be looking to redecorate and rejuvenate the front of the store, to give an 'external facelift' to the business.

As well as bikes from brands such as Giant Liv, Ridgeback and Whyte the shop offers accessories and servicing. It can also offer bicycle repairs.
