A MAN has been charged with attempted murder as part of an investigation in Wickham.
Officers were called at approximately 7.30am on Saturday, December 23 to a report that a 77-year-old woman had been assaulted at an address in Dickson Park, Wickham.
The woman suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as part of police enquiries.
Adam David Wright, of Grovers Field, Bishop’s Waltham, was charged with attempted murder and appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 26.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, January 24.
