Living Tradition celebrates his renowned national and international portfolio including extensive work on the new build and restoration of private, historic and traditional country houses and on public and academic buildings. Among them the Oval Cricket Ground and the Levine Building, Trinity College Oxford.

He is both a pioneer and innovator for creating sustainable and walkable communities, a champion for traditional skills and craftsmanship, the sourcing and use of local materials and low carbon living.

Wayne Reakes, chief operating officer at ADAM Architecture, said: “This is a superb book and a wonderful accolade for Hugh as it is also for the practice and all who have worked with Hugh on the houses and buildings illustrated through it. I know Hugh would be the first to admit that the book is also a fantastic asset for us all, indeed a watershed as we look forward to exciting new work and prospects for the firm.”
