New hairdresser preparing to open in Winchester city centre

Wild and Pure Studios has moved into the shop on St George’s Street which previously had housed Bibas Hair for many years.

Signs are currently up on the window as workers prepare the salon for use.

A worker at the scene confirmed that the studio will be a hairdresser, with plans to open on Monday, November 6.

As previously reported, the shop was home to the long-running salon Bibas Hair, which closed at the end of August.

Bibas staff have since moved to the salon’s other location, Gecko Hair, in Wavell Way, Stanmore.

A sign posted on the door at the time of the closure said: “The lease for this salon is coming to an end. We have decided in August to move to our other salon.

“Please ask Cole, Racheal, or Karen for a card.

“Look forward to seeing you there, Chris and all at Bibas.”

The salon had been on the premises since at least 2010.
