A ROMSEY woman has raised more than £1,000 for Jane Scarth House with an informative evening discussing menopause.

Rachel Cardy, a hairdresser who has specialised in hair loss treatment and wig making for more than 30 years, held her “Staying Strong” event on June 9.

In collaboration with Bradbeers of Romsey, the evening saw 80 people learn everything about menopause from Dr Nick Brook, consultant gynaecologist from Romsey Medical Practice. Nutritionist Natasha Hartwell and essential oils expert Helen Wright also provided information.

Attendees were also able to enjoy pink prosecco and pink lemonade provided by Bradbeers, along with sweet and savoury canapés. There was also a raffle.

Rachel said: “Thank you to Romsey local businesses who generously donated 45 raffle prizes that were won, assisting the entrance fees in generating £1,030 donated to Jane Scarth House, Cancer charity, Romsey.

“Staying Strong will be organising another informative charity evening in October, all about skin moles.”
