A CAMPERVAN enthusiast group has donated £1,500 to Naomi House and Jackspace, local hospices for life limited and life threatened children.

This brings the total amount that Southcoast Transporters has raised for the hospices to £7,800.

The group visited the charity with their campervans to present a cheque, and to give the children and families visiting the hospices the opportunity to see the vans up close, climb inside and pose for photos.

Southcoast Transporters have supported a wide variety of different charities, including Naomi House and Jacksplace, since the group began, by collecting donations and holding raffles filled with prizes for sponsors at its fundraising events.

The group was originally set up by Southampton resident Di Brown.

She said: “We have been supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace for seven years now and will continue to do so, as this wonderful charity is very dear to many of our members’ hearts.”

Community fundraiser at Naomi House and Jackspace, Tash Haji, said: “Thank you so much to everyone at the Southcoast Transporters for years of wonderful support, and for going the extra mile and bringing your campervans along to the hospices to put a smile on the faces of children and families visiting.”
