A new customer notice has been placed in the window of the restaurant and delivery service that reads: “Due to an electrical issue we are unable to open today.
“We have engineers carrying out repairs and will re-open as soon as it’s safe to do so.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
A McDonald's spokesperson said:"Due to an issue with a water leak our Winchester restaurant was forced to temporarily close on Monday. Engineers are working quickly to resolve the issue and we hope to re-open as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.”
Winchester employees have been offered shifts at nearby restaurants while the issue is resolved.
