VARIOUS roads will be closed in and around the city between 8am and 2pm on Sunday, September 25, for Marafun runners.
ReesLeisure, organisers of the Winchester Marafun, has been in extensive talks with Winchester City Council and Hampshire Highways ahead of the sixth instalment of the race to help minimise disruption.
The half-marathon and 10k, starting from 9am will involve road closures and rolling road closures in and around Winchester mostly between 8am and 2pm.
Event organisers have warned in a notice to residents that “traffic will be heavier around the city centre area so it will be advisable to plan and allow extra time for your journey.”
