Winchester's newest soon-to-open restaurant has raised its profile.

Turquaz is preparing to welcome guests in the premises on Jewry Street that was previously occupied by Loch Fyne and which closed during lockdown,as reported in the Chronicle last month.

A new restaurant sign and advertising boards have been erected to brighten up the face of the listed Tudor building and let the hundreds of daily passers-by know what is happening.

The new restaurant is advertising for staff and is asking them to apply within closer to the opening date.

The chain offers Turkish cuisine and now has around 15 restaurants across the south-east.
