THE Tudor Gates thriller Who Killed “Agatha” Christie? is showing at the Theatre Royal Winchester between Thursday September 22 and Saturday September 24, writes Claudia Cox.
The play is set in 1978, and follows John Terry, a popular playwright and actor. John invites the theatre critic Arthur “Agatha” Christie round to his flat, as he suspects that their partners are having an affair.
However, John’s intentions are not what they appear to be, and the plot develops into something much more sinister.

Tudor Gates was a stage manager turned screenwriter, who in addition to working on plays also contributed to 1970s episodes of The Sweeney and Doctor Who.
Who Killed “Agatha” Christie? is revitalised by the theatrical company Tabs Productions, which has worked on more than 150 shows ranging from Shakespeare to musicals.
