A spokeswoman from Brasserie Blanc said: "The brasserie was due for a refresh and guests can expect to see the return of Parisian styling – a little more ‘ooh la la’.

"There will be new floral and velvet banquettes, beautiful colour schemes, biophilic details and an enhanced central courtyard space that flows from the bar providing a perfect outdoor oasis in the centre of Winchester."

The restaurant is set to open on Thursday, August 4.

It comes as the former Loch Fyne unit next door is set to have a new tenant after being empty for two years.

Turkish restaurant, Turquaz is set to open in the unit early September, 2022.

Turquaz will offer a range of Turkish cuisine, charcoal grilled fish and meats, as well as vegetarian dishes and classics such as moussaka and halloumi salad.
