A SHELL that was found in a garage has been safely removed, Hampshire police confirmed.
Police were alerted to an address in Stoney Lane, Weeke, yesterday (Tuesday, July 19), at 3pm, where a shell had been found in a garage.
The bomb squad shortly arrived to the scene, where they found an eight-inch long, brown device.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "It is not thought that the device could cause harm or be a danger to anyone, but we have taken the necessary precautions.
"The military’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended and the item was safely removed by 6.45pm."
