KINGS Worthy Parish Council is urging residents to help clean up their community.

The latest council update said: “Although we currently have no formal litter picking event organised between now and spring 2015, parishioners are welcome to call into the office at Tubbs Hall where they can borrow a ‘picker’ if they see an area that needs attention.”

Plastic sacks and high visibility vests are also available.

The statement also said: “Any help to keep our community neat and tidy would be very much appreciated and certainly wouldn’t go unnoticed.”

It is hoped that a hosted litter picker will be back on board in spring.
