RESIDENTS will be able to enjoy a spot of classical music when the Twyford Singers concert takes place this weekend. At St Cross Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 9, a rendition of the popular works of Vivaldi and Fauré aims to raise money for Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG), which befriends and supports asylum seekers and refugees in the Southampton and Winchester areas. KINGS Worthy Parish Council is currently seeking tenders for resurfacing at the Eversley Park car park. The car park, which often becomes crowded during Saturday mornings, is challenging to negotiate at busy times and since the introduction of the path across the park it is being used more frequently by parents taking children to school.

VOLUNTEERS in Colden Common are being praised after tree surgery was agreed by the parish council. Bluebell Wood, a pocket of the parish which borders Pallet Close, Tees Green and Oak Tree Close, has been given some tender loving care after parish councillors agreed to carry out works in order to replenish the bluebell population.
