EASTON and Martyr Worthy Cricket Club is celebrating improvements after a generous donation.
The club now has mains power supply to the nets and middle pitch, which means the bowling machine can be used constantly during training.
It comes after money from the funeral of Easton’s Eric Thompson was split between the village hall and cricket club.
Chairman Adam Murch said: “As the local garage owner, Eric would have approved of us putting the funds to such practical use. He was passionate about cricket and even when he stopped playing, he used to give us the money he raised from selling his chickens’ eggs.”
