GOVERNORS at Kings Worthy Primary School have discussed setting up a ‘walking bus’ for the morning journey to school.

At their latest meeting Governors discussed the issue of building works close to the school, and the recent opening of the path across Eversley Park, which is causing the car park at Eversley Park to become increasingly busy.

To help with this problem, they have suggested a ‘walking bus’ across the park at 8.30am to escort children to school and free up more spaces for parents in cars.

A ‘walking bus’ is an organised walking group led and accompanied by adults, known as a ‘driver’ and ‘conductor’.

The school appealed to parents in a recent newsletter to help run the bus, or express their interest in using it.
