MIKE Leigh continues to impress with Another Year, the 2010 film that gained major plaudits at last year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Another Year uses the happy life of Tom and Gerri (Jim Broadbent and Ruth Sheen) in contrast to the lives of their friends around them as they are consistently reminded that sometimes life’s not kind.
The film is showing at Southampton University’s The Phoenix on Wednesday.
