THE firm wanting to build an industrial complex on the outskirts of Southampton will come face to face with residents opposed to the scheme.
Redbridge Residents’ Association will hold an extraordinary general meeting tonight about the plans for the site in Test Lane.
Developer Evander Properties Ltd wants to build a distribution and industrial park in the site, next to the Daily Echo’s offices.
The complex could create up to 750 jobs during construction and once it opens, but it has proven controversial with many residents.
They are concerned about the proposed 24-hour operation of the site, potential traffic and the scale of the buildings.
The association meeting will take place at The Ship Inn in Old Redbridge Road at 7.30pm.
As well as residents and representatives from the developer, ward councillors Lee Whitbread and Andrew Pope are set to attend.
