Hampshire golfer Georgia Richardson has helped secure England’s sixth consecutive victory at the Home Internationals.

The golfer from Stoneham Golf Club contributed to the Girls’ and Boys’ Team’s unbeaten run at Monifieth Golf Links in Scotland, where England defeated Wales 13-8, Scotland 11.5-9.5 and Ireland 13-8 in a dominant display.

Jamie O’Connor, England’s Girls’ and Boys’ captain, said: "The coaches and staff are incredibly proud of the players this week.

"There were so many close and hard-fought contests but it was great to come out on top."

It was a particularly strong week for the boys’ team, who won all their matches and secured the individual title, dropping only 1.5 points in the foursomes.

The girls narrowly missed out on their own title by just half a match point.

O’Connor praised the team’s determination and talent, saying: "The Girls narrowly lost out on the individual title but showed great fight in taking it all the way to the end, only losing out by half a point.

"A massive well done to all our players and everyone involved on a brilliant week and a great result - a specific thank you must be given to our national coaches, Steven Orr and John Watson.”
