OLD Tauntonians & Romsey are Hampshire indoor six-a-side cricket champions for the first time.
They carried off the trophy at the Utilita Bowl with emphatic wins over Thruxton and defending champions Sparsholt, either side of a Joe Vaughan inspired semi-final win over Hambledon.
Spin all-rounder Vaughan hit an unbeaten 57 as OTR successfully chased down Hambledon's 130-5, Henry Glanfield hitting an unbeaten fifty of his own for the losers.
OTs were too strong for Sparsholt in the final, Harry Tulk and Hakim Peruzi top scoring in a powerful 151-5. Tom Kingston's late runs helped Sparsholt reach 103 all out.
