EASTLEIGH manager Richard Hill has departed the club with the Spitfires 15th in the National League and only four points clear of the relegation zone.
The decision, which is reported in the club statement as 'by mutual consent', came following a 3-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Ebbsfleet United, who scored three times in 14 early second half minutes.
Beaten six times in their last eight outings, Eastleigh are without a win in 11 matches in all competitions, with two fixtures against League Two Newport County in the FA Cup included.
Hill, 60, was appointed for his second spell as boss at the Silverlake Stadium in September 2023, replacing the sacked Lee Bradbury.
He had been operating as club director since March the same year, before taking on the management job again.
Eastleigh visit rock bottom Oxford City on Tuesday evening (7.45pm), their hosts having won only once since Boxing Day, but held Southend United 0-0 at the weekend.
