Winchester City achieved their biggest ever win as a Southern League Premier Division club and obtained their first home clean sheet of the season when they beat Bracknell Town 5-0.
The first half of the game was fairly uneventful with neither goalkeeper having a serious make until right at the end of the half Trevor Caborn got the decisive touch after Mark Jamison flicked on a long throw from Pip Nolan.
Nolan had an excellent chance to extend Winchester's lead early in the second half, but his penalty kick saved at the expense of a corner. However from this corner Max Smith got a decisive touch meaning that for the first time this season Winchester had scored the first two goals in a home league game.
Tommy Wright broke clear to make it 3-0 and knock the stuffing out of the visitors. After Ollie Balmer made it 4-0 with a superbly struck free kick Winchester City made three substitutions with Simba Mlambo, Ollie Griggs and Devon Arnold respectively replacing Trevor Caborn, Max Smith and Tommy Wright.
It was Arnold who scored the fifth goal after being put through by Dan Jones to complete a superb victory.
