Hambledon leg-spin all-rounder Justin Behrens was among the young aspiring cricketers listed among the rookie options for South Africa's Betway 2014 SA20 player auctions.

He was among several Cape cricketers, under 22 years of age, not capped at professional level to be included in the list for next January's six-franchise tournament.

Behrens headed the Southern Premier Division 1 bowling averages with 32 wickets this past summer, in addition to scoring 568 runs. He finished second in the Western Province CA bowling charts in Cape Town last winter.

But, like Burridge run gun Mat Goles, Behrens had had his start to Cape Town's domestic season delayed by bad weather. Due to the excessive September rainfall in the Cape, the WPCA league programme has been delayed until October 14.
