Ousseynou Cissé and former Saints midfielder Jake Hesketh are among six players released by National League side Eastleigh at the expiry of their contracts.

Late of Mk Dons and Leyton Orient, Cisse (31) frequently skippered the Spitfires from his central defensive position last season, scoring three times in 39 appearances.

Hesketh has been with Eastleigh for the past two campaigns, but a knee injury restricted his involvement. He did not play from mid-February onwards.

Left-back Michael Kelly is also headed through the exit gate, alongside strikes Tristan Abrahams (Gillingham) and Gerry McDonnagh (Scunthorpe United), and Jake Scrimshaw.

Alfie Lloyd (QPR), who is under-going surgery on an ACL injury, Kairo Mitchell (Notts County) and promising midfielder JJ McKiernan (Watford) have returned to their parent clubs at the conclusion of their respective loan deals.

Top scorer Danny Whitehall, Vinny Harper and Christian Maghoma remain in contract talks with the Stoneham Lane club.

Goalkeeper Joe McDonnell, Brennan Camp, Aaron Martin, George Langston, Corey Panter, Thomas Bragg, Brendan Willson, Charlie Carter, Seung woo-Yang, Ryan Hill, Nigel Atangana, Oscar Rutherford and Lyle Simpson are all retained.
