RETURNING hero Theo Walcott dedicated his goal at Wolves to Saints’ fans.

The forward netted in Monday’s 1-1 draw at Molineux as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men extended to seven games their unbeaten Premier League run.

It was Walcott’s first goal for the club since January 2006, having returned on loan from Everton last month.

Pedro Neto cancelled out Walcott’s opener, which came more than 5,000 days after his last, as Saints remained fifth in the table.

Asked whether there was anyone in particular he would like to dedicate his first goal back to, the 31-year-old told the Daily Echo: “All the Southampton fans that showed so much support for me at such a young age and never really got to see me play in the Premier League.

“Now they can finally see me play in the Premier League in a Southampton shirt.

“That goal is for them.”
