SAINTS have reportedly “completed the deal” to sign centre-back Mohammed Salisu from Real Valladolid for £10.9million.
Central defender Salisu has been heavily linked with a move to the south coast and is a player Saints have been tracking.
And Sky Sports claim the St Mary’s side have reportedly triggered the buy-out clause in the 21-year-old’s contract and he has agreed a four-year deal.
But no official announcement has been confirmed by the club as of yet.
Sky are reporting Salisu will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period once he arrives in the UK from Spain, due to coronavirus control measures.
The Ghana international, 21, made 31 La Liga appearances for Valladolid during the 2019-20 campaign.
