RALPH Hasenhuttl didn’t feel the need to cast his eye over this weekend's Saints programme in light of what Burnley boss Sean Dyche said about it.

Dyche last week revealed he used the ‘long ball’ comment as fuel to fire his players up for the St Mary’s tie.

"A good technical analysis in their programme, I quite enjoyed that,” said Dyche.

“I told the lads and said, 'There you go, that is what they think of you' and it is always lovely when they give you that little edge to work on. I love that."

Despite this, Hasenhuttl revealed he won’t be paying any attention to what’s going in this weekend’s edition.

Saints poked fun at the situation, tweeting: "Ready to go again at St Mary's! #SaintsFC's @janbednarek_ is the face of our critically-acclaimed programme against #AVFC."

Alongside the picture of Jan Bednarek, it says: "Magic...I love it - Sean Dyche."

And ahead of tomorrow's match with Aston Villa, Hasenhuttl said: “I couldn’t understand [Dyche’s comments] this because it’s a journalist who writes these messages,” reflected Saints’ manager.

“If he takes this as motivation, then ok.

“You can also take every newspaper and read what they are speaking about my team.

“In general, they were facts that were analysed by a journalist. It’s a service we offer every opponent that comes to us.

“They can read what a tactical journalist says about them. I don’t care about it too much.”
