SAINTS have stepped up their promotional work ahead of next month's Dacia Magic Weekend 2019 at Liverpool.

Tommy Makinson and Jonny Lomax, who both starred for England at the iconic Anfield Stadium in the autumn, returned to show off the 2019 Magic Weekend shirt.

St Helens Star:

Makinson, who scored a hat-trick on his last Anfield appearance, and Lomax were given access to the Anfield dressing rooms, media suite and pitch to show off the special jersey.

Saints - the closest Super League club geographically to Anfield - are hoping to take a large travelling support.

They are also aiming to entice new supporters from across the Merseyside area for the encounter.

St Helens Star:

They have been given the honour of closing the event with the last game - against top four side Castleford Tigers - on the evening of Sunday 26 May (KO 6pm).

Tickets are available for the match and the full Weekend schedule of fixtures by calling 01744 455052, or visiting Saints ticket office.
