SAM Northeast hit 135 as Hampshire bounced back with a 234-run win against Northants in La Manga.
Northeast top scored in a total of 397-5, hitting 12 fours and six sixes, with Joe Weatherley (71), Tom Alsop (66), Aneurin Donald (50) and Harry Came (39) also impressing.
Mason Crane (8-1-45-3) took three wickets in his first game since the Royal London One-Day Cup final nine months ago with new signing Keith Barker (4-29) and Ryan Stevenson (2-36) also in the wickets as Hampshire bowled NOrthants out for 163.
Brad Taylor’s 49-ball 65 could not prevent Hampshire from losing their opener by 69 runs, despite contributions from Donald (48), Weatherley (31), Felix Organ (37) and Lewis McManus (31) in a total of 246.
Chris Wood (3-71) and James Fuller (2-78) shared the new ball but first-change Ian Holland (10-0-37-0) was the pick of the attack against a Northants side for whom Josh Cobb (59) Alex Wakeley (100) and Rob Keogh (60) impressed in a total of 315-7.
