HAMPSHIRE Cricket duo Ryan Stevenson and Felix Organ have been awarded new contracts.

They have both signed deals until the end of 2020.

Stevenson, a right-arm seamer who joined the club in 2015, missed the entire 2017 season with a back stress-fracture.

But the 26 year-old took nine wickets in ten Vitality Blast games this year as well as 31 wickets across all formats for the Second XI.

Organ, 19, scored 862 runs in all competitions for the Second XI this year, averaging 49.91 in Championship matches and 54.67 in the Trophy.

The right-handed batsman was also the top run scorer in the Southern Premier League, with 843 runs at 56.20 for the Hampshire Academy.

He also took 24 SPL wickets at 17.37 with his off-spin.

Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: “Ryan’s attitude to rehab over the last couple of years has been outstanding and he impressed on his return to the squad this year, bowling well and with good pace during our T20 campaign and as part of the Second XI.

“Felix is an exciting prospect and he also had a strong season for the Second XI, as well as the Academy side, making valuable contributions with the bat throughout this season.

“It’s been great to see both players progress this season and these extensions gives them an opportunity to continue to develop their games here with us over the next couple of years.”
