For the second successive year Sophie Mead and Bradley Awuah-Peasah (pictured), both students at Mountbatten School, have been selected to represent Hampshire at the ESAA Track & Field Championships.
Sophie has been selected to run in the Intermediate Girls 100m. She is the current county 100m champion with a personal best of 11.7 this season.
Bradley has been selected for the Junior Boys 200m. Although he has run 23.1, this year and is ranked third in the country, Bradley has endured a frustrating injury. A damaged hamstring has resulted in him missing both the Hampshire and Southern Region Championships. Back in full training, he has missed the opportunity to run at the highest levels this summer.
