A WINCHESTER man has been jailed for threatening people at Sainsbury's and Tesco Express on the same day.
Magistrates jailed David James Thorne for eight weeks because of the "extreme threats" to Surinder Pal Singh at Sainsbury's on Middle Brook Street in Winchester, and against Mikaela Garmston at Tesco on the High Street, both on January 27.
Thorne, 39, of Christchurch Road, admitted both offences and was also ordered to pay £50 compensation each to Mr Singh and Ms Garmston.
He also admitted two counts of shoplifting from Tesco Express on January 25 and was ordered to pay £50 compensation.
