A DRIVER has denied causing a collision in Bishop’s Waltham which left a motorcyclist fighting for life.
Darren Howett appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday where he pleaded not guilty to driving without due care and attention on Coppice Hill on March 12, last year.
Emergency services were called to the road at 2.36pm to reports of a collision involving a Golf and two motorcycles.
It is alleged that the 49-year-old’s driving caused serious injury to Aaron Alford.
Howett, of Bishopsfield Road, Fareham, is also accused of failing to stop at the scene, along with driving without the correct insurance or a driving licence.
At the time of the incident, a police spokesperson said: "As a result, one of the motorcyclists has suffered life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital.”
Howett will go on trial at the same court on August 16.
