POLICE have seized a stolen van that was found in Romsey this week, following tip-offs from the public.
The force was informed about a suspicious vehicle parked in Sutherland Close on Monday [April 12].
Officers found the Ford Transit and realised it had false number plates.
Police discovered that the vehicle had actually been stolen from an address in Alderbury, Wiltshire, on April 7.
The vehicle was taken by officers and will be recovered to its owner.
A Facebook post from Test Valley Cops urged residents to report and suspicious activity to the police, even if it seems "insignificant".
The post reads: "Any information helps us to build a better picture of what is happening in our communities, and ultimately to keep our residents safe."
