SIR– Over the last several weeks, there have been very many letters concerning the proposed alterations to the Palmerston statue roundabout and the future circulatory system/junction layouts.
At the beginning I read each letter avidly, very many detailed and other more general.
I persevered and tried to visualise the proposed layout and potential safety problems for both drivers and pedestrians.
Week after week went by with more and more letters, until eventually I became bemused and confused.
Late last Friday evening after reading another couple of letters, I started yawning and suddenly thought of that other long running saga concerning another famous roundabout and found myself saying ‘time for bed’.
Enough said, it’s time to move on. I think, roundabouts only go round in circles!
