More than £1,100 was raised by Marie Curie Cancer Care volunteers in the Test Valley during the charity’s annual daffodil appeal during March.
In Romsey £922.48 was collected and £203.95 in Andover.
The amount raised will fund 56 hours of care.
Wendy Savage, community fundraiser, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Marie Curie and helped to make this year’s Great Daffodil Appeal such a big success. The appeal simply wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful volunteer collectors, including members of our Romsey and our Andover Fundraising Groups, as well as everyone who generously made a donation to support people with a terminal illness. The funds raised will make a very significant difference, helping Marie Curie Nurses provide more care to people with terminal illnesses and their families at the time when they most need support.”
