Make a bee-line this week for Romsey’s Tourist Information Centre and get a real buzz from supporting the 2015 Comic Relief appeal.
TIC staff have arranged a number of fund-raising activities between Saturday and Comic Relief Day (Friday, March 13), all on a bee theme.
Throughout the week you’ll be able to get bee-themed jokes in exchange for a donation , buy raffle tickets to win bee-related prizes, and buy bee-related products including Test Valley honey.
On Comic Relief Day itself the TIC will offer bee-themed face painting, courtesy staff from Romsey-based Bella Crafts, in exchange for a £1 donation.
The TIC’s Church Street office will also have a bee-themed window display for the week which is being created by John Cossburn with support from other members of the Romsey & District and Hampshire Beekeepers Associations.
TIC manager Julia West said that she had chosen the bee theme to fit in with Comic Relief’s national ‘Paint Your Face Funny’ campaign and to promote the work of the Test Valley’s many honey producers.
