A TROUT in a hedge was one of the more unusual items found at a spring clean in Hampshire.
As part of the Great British Spring Clean volunteers in the Itchen Abbas got stuck into sprucing up Itchen Abbas, Avington, Martyr Worthy and Easton.
Around 55 volunteers helped collect waste, which included a trout in a hedge, asbestos and even someone's wallet - which was later reunited with its owner.
Parish councillor for Itchen Valley Parish Council Stephen Andrews said the event was a big success.
Cllr Andrews said:"It was a great success, the Itchen Valley looks so much better and a big Thankyou for all the volunteers and people that gave up their time to support this fun initiative for the community."
Mr Andrews also thanked the women's institute who put on a spread of refreshments to thank the volunteers.
