MEMBERS of Shawford and Compton Horticultural Society went to Quest Lodge at Fishers Pond for their June meeting.
They admired the garden created by Margaret and Malcolm Pallant from what was two and a half acres of low-lying bog.
With new soil and drainage, it now features winding paths, informal lawns, a small lake and a vegetable patch.
The society’s next meeting is on Friday, July 9, where the members intend to hold a garden party and supper.
Plans are also being made for the group’s annual show, which is due to take place on Saturday, September 4.
