WORKS are set to begin for a new Colden Common car park after residents raised concerns about the number of cars parked on the road.
Local councillors raised issue with cars parked near the roundabout at Spring Lane and Upper Moors Road citing problems with the lack of visibility and possible safety issues.
Now a new nine-space car park will be available for anyone living nearby without off-road parking funded through the Traffic Management Agency Agreement with Hampshire County Council.
Double yellow line will also be painted at all four exits of the roundabout.
