A WALK to raise money for the Ropley church that burned down will be held next month.
The walk on Sunday, September 21, takes place between Ropley and Alresford to raise funds for St Peter’s that suffered severe damage in June.
The Watercress Line is donating a free train ride from Alresford back to Ropley for those taking part.
There will be three routes catering for differing abilities, starting between 10-10.30am. Starting from the Parish Hall a seven-and-a-quarter mile route and, from Ropley Station, both a four-and-a-half mile route and a road route of three-and-a-half miles.
“Rover” tickets for dogs for the return journey for just £1. Return trains leave Alresford at 1pm, 1.45pm, 3pm and 3.45pm.
