THE RESULTS of the Kings Worthy flooding survey have been revealed.

Of 260 paper surveys, 80 people responded, with the main issues reported including diversions and flooding in garages and porches.

Parish councillors at Monday’s (May 12) annual parish assembly vowed to work closely with Winchester City and Hampshire County councils to develop plans for how to deal with future issues.

Chairman Sarah White also addressed the need to keep drains and gullies cleared to allow surface water to properly drain.

She reported that approximately a third of drains in the area, particularly near the King Charles pub on Springvale Road, were inadequate.
