Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meet their newborn nephew Archie

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, was born last Monday.

William and Kate visited Harry, Meghan and their week-old son at their home, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor, on Tuesday afternoon.

A Kensington Palace spokesman would not confirm whether or not Kate and William’s children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – were also there.

Archie, who was not given a courtesy title, has already spent time with his maternal grandmother Doria Ragland and his royal great grandparents, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.

Kate and William are understood to have travelled to Windsor after carrying out engagements.

The duchess was at Bletchley Park, near Milton Keynes, while the duke was the Royal Geographic Society in Kensington, west London.

Harry was also out and about on Tuesday, taking a tour of Oxford, where he said he cannot imagine life without son Archie.

He also revealed his newborn is keeping him up at night.

Meanwhile, Meghan celebrated her first Mother’s Day with Archie at the weekend, on the American date for festivities.

An image was shared on the royal couple’s Instagram on Sunday of Los Angeles-raised Meghan clutching the baby’s feet over what appear to be forget-me-not flowers.

It was captioned: “Paying tribute to all mothers today, past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered.

“We honour and celebrate each and every one of you.”

While Mother’s Day is celebrated in the UK in March, it was held on Sunday in the States, as well as in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya and Japan.
