Police have revisited the scene where a man was shot in the head one week on from the incident in the hope of jogging people’s memories.

The 38-year-old is in a stable condition in hospital following the attack in Glasgow’s east end at around 11pm on Tuesday September 18.

He was attacked by two masked men who got out of a black car and entered a property at Cuthelton Terrace.

Detectives believe it was a targeted attack and are treating the shooting as attempted murder.

A short time later at around 11.20pm, police received a report of a road crash involving one vehicle in Selby Gardens, Mount Vernon.

Emergency services attended and the male occupant of the car was taken to hospital.

Police said there is nothing to indicate the incidents are connected, but it cannot be ruled out.

Officers revisited the area of the shooting between 10.30pm and 11.15pm on Tuesday and urged anyone with information to contact them.

Detective Inspector Gillian Faulds said: “The overall response from members of the public was positive and officers managed to speak to 18 pedestrians and motorists during the operation.

“Information from members of the public is absolutely vital to this investigation and I would urge anyone with even the slightest piece of information to come forward.

“These individuals discharged a firearm in a residential area, not only endangering the life of their target but also potentially putting other members of the public at risk. They must be caught and held accountable for their actions.

“I would particularly appeal to any motorists with dashcams who were in or around the Tollcross or Shettleston areas on the Tuesday night to get in touch in case they have captured any footage of significance.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact CID officers at Govan Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 4200 of September 18, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
