A GROUP of students at Winchester University have become pioneers.
Third year media students Vicky Ledger, Alex Moore, Adam Pacitti, Joel Stocker, Anthony Bennett and Charmian Goss are the first students at the university to produce work on national television.
The group were commissioned by the Community Channel to make a film about Southampton business Who Made Your Pants, a firm that employs female immigrants to make underwear while teaching them English.
Media lecturer Graham Mole said: “It’s the first time that university students have received a commission from the national TV channel and it’s been so well received that they’ve been promised further commissions.
“The students were told by the producers: “We have watched through your cut and are very pleased with it - Well done, you have captured the right angle we are looking for and essence of the organisation! Thanks for all your hard work so far, it’s looking great!”
