WINCHESTER is strengthening its reputation as a high-class restaurant city with news that celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is set to open a base in the High Street.
The Jamie Oliver Group has taken a 25-year lease on the building, formerly Pizza Hut, and will open a Union Jacks restaurant in mid-summer. It will create around 35 jobs.
The branch will be the first Union Jacks outside London.
