IF anything went wrong with The Companion of Space show, it would have equalled seven years bad luck.

Four performers held up a large mirror in the historic Quire of Winchester Cathedral for two hours on Wednesday (November 2).

Their muscle-sapping challenge was tackled to highlight the effort that went into building the Norman landmark.

The artists, who changed the position of the mirror every 15 minutes, also wanted to highlight faith and passion through their work.

Holding the mirror was Bernadita Croxatto, Emma Dixon, Kimvi Nguyen and Andrea Willette.

The group met while studying at the Winchester School of Art a couple of years ago.

Their event was part of the 10 Days Across the City arts festival, which runs until Saturday, November 5.

The programme is due to end with singing and live music around the bonfire at North Walls Recreation Ground. It will be part of Winchester’s annual fireworks display, which is organised by the Round Table.
