THE King’s College Cambridge Choral Scholars will be visiting Twyford on Monday, October 17.

They will be taking part in workshops at Twyford School and then performing a concert at St Mary’s Church.

During the workshops the scholars will give two master classes to youngsters at the school.

They will then join forces to perform at St Mary’s Church at 7pm in a public concert.

David Hall, director of music at Twyford School, said: “It will be a wonderful experience for our eight to 13-year-old pupils to work alongside these incredibly talented musicians and we are extremely lucky that they have found time in their very hectic university and singing schedules to visit Twyford.

“We all know them from their Christmas television and radio broadcasts but this is a rare and wonderful opportunity to hear them singing close harmony live.

“Music is such an important part of Twyford’s curriculum and we pride ourselves on offering our pupils a full range of musical experiences.”

Tickets for the concert at St Mary’s Church cost £10 for adults while children go free and are available from Twyford School on 01962 712269.
