FANS of the Theatre Royal in Winchester will soon be able to lay their hands on a signed copy of a book about the venue.
Behind the Curtain by Phil Yates and Madelaine Smith recounts the building’s last 95 years as both a cinema and live theatre.
Mr Yates, who lives in Tower Street, just a stone’s throw from the Jewry Street venue, is now planning to hold a book signing.
It will take place at Waterstones in The Brooks Centre, Winchester, from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, November 28. The book costs £9.99p.
The same day, children’s poet Karen J Jones will be signing books at Holy Trinity Church in Upper Brook Street as part of its Christmas craft fair. Her current work, Chasing Dreams, is on sale for £6.95p.
